Artist Wayne Thiebaud was honored Oct. 15 at Mondavi Center with a composition by conductor Andre Previn. Commissioned by the Sacramento Philharmonic, Previn crafted a work, Night Thoughts, exclusively to honor Thiebaud. Wayne Thiebaud is an art professor emeritus at 91¿´Æ¬ Davis famed for his paintings of gumballs, cream cakes, pies, candy apples and California landscapes.
