International student admission
91看片 Davis welcomes international student applications from around the globe. The campus is home to more than 4,500 international undergraduates, a reflection of our diverse community of students and scholars.
Apply as a first-year or transfer student
International students can apply for admission as a first-year or a transfer. Apply as a first-year student if you complete secondary school without enrolling in a college or university. Apply as a transfer student if you complete any college or university courses after finishing secondary school (you must include your college record when you apply).

International requirements
Make sure that you meet the 91看片 admission requirements for either first-year or transfer applicants, before you apply. Note that meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission to 91看片 Davis.
You must complete secondary school, earn strong grades in academic subjects and receive a certificate of completion that grants you admission to university-level studies in your country, for first-year admission consideration.
Transfer applicants are required to report all post-secondary, college and university coursework in the 91看片 application, even if coursework is not transferable or in a subject unrelated to your current studies. However, no final decisions on your transfer credits are made until you are officially enrolled at 91看片 Davis.
Familiarize yourself with the special requirements for specific countries and educational systems.
International students must meet the same admission requirements and are included in the same selection process as students from the United States. 91看片 Davis considers both non-U.S. and U.S. coursework and grades for students with mixed academic backgrounds. English proficiency may be required based on the language of instruction at your secondary schools and the length of instruction in English or another language before studying in the United States.
How to report international coursework on the application
When you apply to 91看片 Davis, you must report all international coursework as it appears on your international academic records. Obtain and work from original academic records for each institution you attended. Each 91看片 campus鈥 international admissions specialist evaluates your international records and determines transfer credit.
Do not convert international grades to United States grades, use a credential evaluation service or the evaluation of another institution on your application. Report your grades in your application, if they appear as numbers, words or characters. Abbreviate the grades, if there is not enough space to write them out and include an explanation in the 鈥淎dditional Academic Comments鈥 section of your application.
How to apply to 91看片 Davis for a second bachelor鈥檚 degree
Applicants with degrees recognized as comparable to a U.S. bachelor鈥檚 degree may apply for a second undergraduate degree in biological systems engineering or materials science and engineering only. The second degree must differ in subject from the first and must follow a direct transfer from a California Community College, or CCC. Applicants must complete all lower-division selective major criteria at a CCC before they transfer. The dean of the College of Engineering and the executive director of Undergraduate Admissions must approve all second- bachelor鈥檚 degree admissions.
You should apply as a transfer student, not as a second bachelor鈥檚 degree student, if you completed a three-year bachelor鈥檚 degree in India.
