How to report first-year international applicant records
International students should use their international academic record to report ALL international coursework as it appears on their official records.
You must complete secondary school, earn strong grades in academic subjects and receive a certificate of completion that grants you admission to university-level studies in your country, for first-year admission consideration.
Learn about applying as a transfer student with international records.
All applicants follow the same admission requirements and enter the same selection process. If you attended both international and U.S. high schools, 91¿´Æ¬ Davis evaluates your courses and grades from each. Some applicants must also demonstrate English proficiency. Visit the exams and visas page for details.
Academic records submission
Admitted students must verify all academic information listed on their application using official academic records. Submit records from all institutions attended, starting with ninth grade.
Academic records must include:
- All subjects and final course or examination marks (if applicable).
- College and university records that note lecture and lab hours per week.
- Secondary school records that confirm graduation with university-eligible status.
We are familiar with academic records from various countries. You are welcome to to discuss your records.
An academic record is only considered official when it is issued and sent by the original institution or examination authority. Records that are unsealed, opened or sent by students are generally not considered official. In most cases, records sealed or attested by notaries or organizations other than from the original institution are not considered official.
To avoid delays, keep legible photocopies of your international academic records available. We may need to review these photocopies, during our evaluation of your application. Prepare to send them at our request.
