91��Ƭ Davis Fire, Police Respond to Apartment Fire in West Village

Update 11:25 p.m.: Fire and police activity in West Village has concluded.

10:40 p.m.: 91��Ƭ Davis Fire Department and police responded to an apartment fire in the Rambles neighborhood of West Village Tuesday evening. There is currently a heavy presence of emergency vehicles in the area. No injuries have been reported.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire in a Solano Park apartment that broke out on Saturday night (May 8). 91��Ƭ Davis will share the results once the investigation has been completed.

The 91��Ƭ Davis Fire Department responded to the campus’s Solano Park Apartment at about 11:30 that night.

Joint Management of 91��Ƭ Davis, City Fire Departments to Conclude

The 91��Ƭ, Davis, has informed the city of Davis that it will end the agreement for shared management of the campus and city fire departments. 91��Ƭ Davis Fire Chief Nathan Trauernicht has led both since Jan. 1, 2014.

Kelly Ratliff, 91��Ƭ Davis’ interim lead for Finance, Operations and Administration, gave formal notice of the decision to end the agreement in a Feb. 1 letter to City Manager Dirk Brazil.
